Sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) - washing soda. It softens water and protects the washing machine from limescale deposits. It dissolves grease and removes stains from textiles, making it ideal for washing and soaking heavily soiled laundry (socks, work clothes, towels). Washing soda is one of the basic ingredients in homemade laundry detergent and soap gel, which are among the cheapest and most environmentally friendly washing methods (when using suitable soap without synthetic chemicals, perfumes, dyes, and palm oil). INSTRUCTIONS: FOR HARD WATER: Make your work easier and check the water hardness using a TESTING STRIP. Washing soda will not soften all types of hard water, in which case we recommend treating hard water with a WATER SOFTENER. FOR STAINS: Treat stains with GALL SOAP or OLIVE SOAP WITH LEMON EXTRACT before washing. SOAP GEL RECIPE: Grate 1 piece of laundry soap (about 170-180 g) or SOAP FLAKES and pour hot water into a 10-liter bucket. Add 100-150 g of washing soda and mix thoroughly. A stick blender can also be used. Be careful not to exceed the amount of soda, as this could lead to graying of the laundry. Add hot water again and mix. For white laundry, we recommend PUER whitening powder; to prevent graying, add LAUNDRY RINSE to the fabric softener compartment. To enhance the washing effect, we recommend adding FLAKES OF GALL SOAP. Then close the bucket with a lid and let it stand. The gel is ready the next day. DOSAGE: approximately 250–300 ml for one regular wash. Soap gel is not suitable for washing synthetic materials (e.g., polyester fleece diapers). Soap gel is not suitable for washing in hard water. LAUNDRY DETERGENT RECIPE: Mix washing soda with finely grated laundry soap or GROUND OLIVE LAUNDRY SOAP in a ratio of 4:1 (e.g., 400 g of soda and 100 g of soap). Mix carefully and cautiously, taking care not to inhale the soda. Store the powder in a bucket with a lid to prevent it from drying out. DOSAGE: adjust according to the size of the washing machine and the amount of laundry. We recommend 2 to 3 tablespoons for 5 to 6 kg of laundry. If you see white residue on dark laundry after washing, reduce the dosage next time. For washing white laundry and as a prevention of graying, add a tablespoon of PUER – an oxygen-based whitening powder and stain remover.
