A thin canvas bag made of organic cotton is particularly suitable for an entire loaf of bread or several pieces of baked goods. It replaces all plastic bags in which baked goods are prone to mold. Conventional cotton cultivation and cotton garment production have a negative impact on the environment as well as on the farmers and workers who are sustained by the textile industry. Cotton fields occupy less than 3% of the world's cultivated land but consume about 25% of all insecticides and 10% of all herbicides. Massive amounts of chemicals are used in cotton growing, which are banned in food production. Cotton is one of the most genetically modified plants, mainly to withstand above-average doses of chemicals. Producing one T-shirt and one pair of jeans uses about half a kilo of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. In organic cotton cultivation and production, it is prohibited to use toxic chemicals that cause poisoning in agricultural workers and damage the environment, as well as genetically modified organisms. Made in India. ECO-FRIENDLY WASHING INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORGANIC COTTON: If a stain appears on organic cotton, treat it with GALL SOAP or OLIVE SOAP WITH LEMON EXTRACT before washing. Cotton materials appreciate washing with SOAP NUTS – it keeps them soft and breathable. You can also use SOAP NUT LAUNDRY GEL. Soap slime is recommended only in the case of soft water. We recommend washing at 40 ºC. Shrinkage up to 5%. We do not use fabric softener on natural materials – it settles on the fibers and reduces their absorbency. For the final rinse bath, use a RINSE AID, which rinses out laundry detergent residue from the material, keeping the laundry soft and breathable (not necessary if washing with soap nuts).
