A bag made of stronger canvas from organic cotton is particularly suitable for a whole loaf of bread or multiple pieces of pastry. It replaces all plastic bags in which baked goods tend to mold. Conventional cotton cultivation and the production of cotton garments have a negative impact on the environment, as well as farmers and workers who rely on the textile industry for their livelihood. Cotton fields occupy just under 3% of the world's cultivated land, yet consume approximately 25% of all insecticides and 10% of all herbicides. Massive use of chemical substances, which are banned in food production, is employed in growing cotton. Cotton is one of the most genetically modified plants, mainly to withstand above-average doses of chemicals. The production of a single T-shirt and a pair of jeans consumes around half a kilo of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. In organic cotton farming and production, the use of toxic chemicals, which cause poisoning in agricultural workers and damage the environment, and genetically modified organisms are prohibited. Certified farms strive to build a biologically diverse agricultural system and maintain soil fertility naturally. Unlike conventionally grown cotton, organic cotton does not cause allergic reactions. Therefore, it is suitable for children, allergy sufferers, eczema patients, and people with sensitive skin. CERTIFICATION Our organic cotton products meet the high standards of the international organization GOTS. Organic cotton cultivation is monitored and controlled from the seed to the final processing of the fabric, including sewing. Inspectors also oversee the social conditions of the workers (video on organic cotton growing and production). This product is approved by the National Institute of Public Health for use with food. Made in India. INSTRUCTIONS FOR ECO-WASHING ORGANIC COTTON: If a stain appears on organic cotton, treat it with GALL SOAP or OLIVE SOAP WITH LEMON EXTRACT before washing. Cotton materials appreciate washing with SOAP NUTS – they remain soft and breathable. We can also use LAUNDRY GEL FROM SOAP NUTS for washing. Soap slime is recommended only for soft water. We recommend washing at 40 ºC. Shrinkage up to 5%. Never use fabric softener on natural materials – it settles on the fibers and reduces the absorbency of the fibers. For the final rinse bath, use a LAUNDRY RINSE, which rinses residual detergent from the material and keeps the laundry soft and breathable (not necessary if washing with soap nuts). Weight: 115 g/m2.
